What subscription plans does Minzani offer?
Two: Free and Pro. Both give you exactly the same features — the ledger, budget, exports, team roles, everything in this guide. The only difference is how long your access lasts.
What do I get with the Free plan?
Full access to everything for 2 months from the day you sign up, with no payment details required to start.
How much does Pro cost?
UGX 5,000 a month, or UGX 57,000 billed yearly — a 5% discount compared to paying monthly for 12 months.
Can I run more than one business from the same account?
Yes. Once one of your businesses is on a paid plan, "Switch Business" in the header offers a Create a new business option. Each business has its own completely separate ledger, budget, and team, and is billed on its own — but every business after your first gets a 10% discount off its own subscription fee, for as long as you keep it. There's no limit on how many businesses you can found.
How do I subscribe to Pro?
From Billing (Owner/Admin only), choose Monthly or Yearly and complete payment through Pesapal's secure checkout. Your business's access extends automatically the moment payment is confirmed — no manual step afterward.
What payment methods are accepted?
Whatever Pesapal's checkout page offers you at the time — typically mobile money and major cards.
Is this a recurring subscription?
No — each payment is a one-time charge that extends your access by a month or a year from whenever it's due to end. There's no auto-renewal and you won't be charged again until you choose to pay again.
What happens if my subscription lapses?
Nothing happens instantly. You get a 7-day grace period in read-only mode — everyone can still log in and see everything, but nothing can be added or changed until you renew. A banner appears throughout reminding you, and renewing at any point during this window restores full access immediately.
What happens if I don't renew during the grace period?
After 7 days, your business is locked — nobody can view or use any business data except through the Billing page itself (this Guide and the legal pages stay reachable too, since they don't contain business data). Nothing is deleted; subscribing at any point afterward restores full access to everything exactly as it was.
Does Minzani ever touch my customers' money?
No. Pesapal on Minzani is used for exactly one thing — collecting Minzani's own subscription fee from your business. It's never a way for your business to collect money from your own customers, and Minzani never holds, processes, or moves any of your business's money. Recording a receipt in the ledger is just that — a record — the same as writing it in a paper notebook.
