What triggers a notification?
A new team member being added (every other Owner/Admin is told), an expenditure that pushes a category over its budget (every Owner/Admin is told, with the amount over), a receipt that needs deposit confirmation or an expenditure that needs approval (when those controls are on — every eligible confirmer except whoever recorded it is told), and your business's trial or subscription ending (every Owner/Admin is told, once, the day it happens).
How do I mark notifications as read?
Tapping a notification opens whatever it's about and marks it read automatically. From the Notifications page, you can also click Mark all as read to clear everything at once without opening each one.
What does the number next to the bell mean?
It's your unread count for the business you're currently viewing — it only counts notifications addressed to you, not to your whole team, and it only reflects the business you've got selected.
